Dyllan Lachelt is a Selkirk College alumni with a passion for literature, reading, and writing. She began taking Creative Writing courses at Selkirk College in 2015 and has been continually engaging in higher education since then.

Dyllan graduated from Selkirk College in 2018 with an Associate of Arts Degree, and then from Thompson Rivers University in 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in English. Following that, she completed UBC's West Kootenay Teacher Education Program (WKTEP) in Nelson, to pursue her dream of teaching. She also holds a Master of Arts in Children's Literature from the University of Roehampton.

After several years teaching high school students in a variety of locations and online, Dyllan reconnected with Selkirk College and began to teach Academic Upgrading classes and is now also a tutor in the writing center. No matter what department you find her in, Dyllan is ready to help you hone your writing skills! When outside of the college, Dyllan enjoys reading, skiing, experimenting in the kitchen, local car culture, and spending time with her family and dogs.
