Student Placements Are Flexible
We offer multiple options for businesses to engage the next generation workforce.
Expand Your Staff While Supporting Student Learning
Co-op education integrates students’ academic study with periods of related work experience. Students earn academic credit for their placements, which are paid, full-time, align with a school term (four months) and are a minimum of 420 hours.

Solve a Business Challenge Using Student Talent
Through our Directed Studies in Work-Integrated Learning course, students engage with local partners to earn credit while they help a company or non-profit develop a business plan, do some market research, launch an e-commerce site or tackle some other business challenge. These placements are generally unpaid and short term (approximately 50 hours).
Get Insight with Student Research
If your business is looking for intensive research support, Selkirk Innovates can work with you to design and deliver a project that draws on student skills to provide you with actionable insights such as:
-
Identifying & researching market trends
-
Uncovering customer needs
