SIDIT Bursaries
SIDIT bursaries are determined through an analysis of financial need. The assessment process considers student/family resources against eligible educational expenses, and standard of living costs based on the Moderate Standard of Living Allowance, in order to determine a student’s financial need.
Two types of SIDIT bursaries are available:
- Trade and Technology – post-secondary students in select trade and technology programs – see application for list of eligible programs.
- Secondary School Transitions – students currently in High School attending Selkirk College’s Youth Train in Trades programs (formerly ACE-IT) and other select programs – see application for list of eligible programs.

Thank You Letters
The SIDIT bursaries have been made possible through the generous support of the Southern Interior Development Trust Initiative (SIDIT). Award winners are asked to write a short ‘Thank You’ letter to the Trust using our online Thank You form. This gesture is greatly appreciated by those who work with Selkirk College to support students in reaching their educational goals.
