Committing to Applied Research and Innovation

Selkirk College has made a commitment to work with businesses, industries, non-profits, government ministries and agencies, associations and individuals in order to create an environment of applied research and innovation that enhances the educational experiences of our learners and the cultural, economic and social well-being of our communities.

For example, the Selkirk Geospatial Research Centre is developing new spatial modeling and applications for forest carbon management, and a new partnership between Selkirk College, TRIUMF of Vancouver and a local business will advance the commercialization of ion source technology.
