Partnering to create a Rural Development Institute
On October 23, 2010, Columbia Basin Trust and Selkirk College announced an eight-year partnership to develop the Rural Development Institute (RDI).
The institute will promote and support informed planning and decision making in the Columbia Basin-Boundary Region by providing easily accessible, up-to-date research for communities.
The RDI represents innovation in applied research as the only college-based rural development research institute in the country.
