Welcome to Selkirk!

I’m Angus Graeme. I’m so fortunate and honored to serve as President of Selkirk College!

Since my first day working as an instructor at the college almost 20 years ago, I have been passionate about learning and teaching, about accessible and inclusive community based education and about supporting students to succeed.

Our vision is to inspire, engage and enable our learners to contribute to society as empowered citizens—to make a difference in their lives and in the world. And we do this through a clear and vivid sense of place.

Place for Selkirk College is all about our people, our cultures, our rich history and our beautiful landscape; and I’m passionate about our college being an integral part of our wonderful place; of our amazing communities in the beautiful West Kootenay and Boundary regions of British Columbia.

As President, I serve a highly skilled and energetic group of faculty and staff who deliver a high touch, high quality learning environment in a broad range of accessible and distinct programs and courses. Our people know how learning, imagination, discovery and innovation contribute to community vitality, diversity and sustainability—it is how we make our difference!
