Strategic Planning
Preparing a renewed strategic plan presents an opportunity for us, our students, and the many communities we serve to provide our thoughts, ideas, and recommendations. How can we build on our already exceptional reputation? What can be further imagined?
Our current strategic plan, Selkirk College at the Confluence, was created in 2005 to and extended until 2011. In Fall 2010, the Selkirk College Board directed the new President, Angus Graeme, to renew the strategic plan for 2012-2017.
In this process, we will create a final plan that will describe our fundamental or core activities, but also articulate new and emerging opportunities/challenges to which we should respond and for which we should provide learning and leadership.
Who's Involved
Many different levels of involvement contribute to a process of this size, including an internal Consultant Team, Steering Committe and Co-Navigators. Ideally all staff, students and community stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide feedback into the consultation process.
Planning Process
The entire process spans from December 2011 until the end of July 2012 and includes two phases, a large consultation process titled Gatherings at the Headwaters followed by a collaborative theming and sensemaking process titled Mapping Our Watershed.
