Selkirk College Graduate Wins Superstar Hair Challenge
Castlegar native and Selkirk College alumnus Anthony Crosfield beat out 11 other hair stylists in the nationally broadcast reality television show, "Superstar Hair Challenge," which aired on Slice TV.
Twelve of the top stylists from across the country competed for the title and a chance to expand their career beyond the salon and into the celebrity world of runways and red carpets.
Crosfield, who began cutting hair at the age of 12, always new what he was destined to do in life, and winning the "Superstar Hair Challenge" appears to confirm that he's become the very best stylist he can be.
The reality-TV format, with its contrived competitions, team challenges, candid interviews and emotional dismissals echo the famous TV show the Apprentice. However, in this case it's all about hair.
Crosfield, who stands a whopping six-feet-six-inches tall, towered over the competion, but he maintained a composed aura of professionalism throughout the challenge, leading one viewer to remark on Crosfield's blog1 that he always acted like gentleman.
