Endowment Established for Nursing & Forest Technology Students
Mr. Wilf Sweeney (right) of Castlegar recently established an endowment at Selkirk College in the name of his late wife, Doris Sweeney. The couple have been long-time residents of Castlegar and supporters of the college. Revenue from the investment of the endowment will be put towards a yearly scholarship for a student enroled in the Nursing or Forest Technology program. Donor Services Coordinator, Joyce Buckler (left), received a plaque from Mr. Sweeney where recipients' names will be engraved on a yearly basis.
