Facility Etiquette
For the safety and enjoyment of all users, we ask that you please act in accordance with the guidelines outlined below.
Dress Code
- T-shirts must have sleeves (no tank tops).
- Shoes must cover your toes, be clean and have non-marking soles.
- No cut off shorts, shorts with zippers or street clothes.
Weight room Etiquette
- There is 20 minute maximum time usage for cardio equipment
- Please use the sign in board to wait for cardio equipment
- After using a piece of equipment and as a courtesy to others please clean the machine with disinfectant located in the weight room.
- Please remember to return the weights, barbells and dumbbells back to the storage racks after use. If left on the floor they are a safety hazard.
- Use correct technique, as it will protect your muscles and joint from potential injury. Exercise performed improperly may be hazardous to you and those around you.
- If necessary, when using large free weights, ask for assistance to move the weights to and from the equipment.
- Always use collars on the barbells.
- A spotter must be used when lifting heavy weights to ensure maximum benefits and to reduce the risk of injury.
- Do not bang or drop weights, this can damage the weights as well as disturb others.
- During your rest periods between sets, its proper etiquete to allow anyone who is waiting for the machine to use it. Conversely if you wish to used a machine that someone is using ask it you may “set-in”.
- Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne as courtesy to members with allergies/breathing difficulties.
