This award is presented to a student who has completed one or more years in Associate of Arts or Science with high marks in Psychology and who intends on majoring in Psychology.

Story

Jim was born in Ontario in 1923. Orphaned at an early age, Jim and his siblings were sent to Halifax to live with relatives.

Jim joined the Navy in the 1940’s and was stationed in various cities across Canada. He married Sarah Davidson in 1947 and their first of three daughters was born the following years. He left the Navy in the mids-60’s and taught psychology at universities in BC and Ontario.

Jim liked to keep busy. He enjoyed sailing, hunting, fishing, golfing, gardening and listening to military music.

Jim passed away in 1975 from cancer.
