Selkirk College offers a variety of Entrance Scholarships to support students to attend full-time post-secondary studies. Awards are based on high academic achievement on select Grade 12 courses. There are over 50 entrance scholarships available with award amounts up to $1500.

Working with High School Counsellors...
In the first week of April, Financial Aid will contact counsellors with a request to provide final and/or interim grades for select Grade 12 courses for the student applicants from their high schools.
High school counsellors will also be contacted and asked for details on graduation: dates, times, and locations. This is so Selkirk College Board members can present these scholarship awards to successful students at the graduation ceremony.

Timeline of Events
Feb 15 – Entrance Award Application opens
Mar 1 – Recruitment Department to contact high schools to obtain graduation dates
Mar 15 – Book Selkirk College Board members to attend high school graduation ceremonies
Mar 31 – Entrance Award Application closes
Apr 3 – Download application data – sort applications by school
Apr 4 – Recruitment Department will forward application names to school counsellors to provide final and/or interim grades for select grade 12 courses
Apr 9 – Counsellors to return grade information back to Financial Aid
Apr 12 – Combine all application data in preparation for adjudication.
Apr 20 – Adjudicate applications.
Apr 30 – Award letters sent to successful students.
May 15 – Deadline for students to accept or decline awards.
May 17 – Send schools a list of the successful award winners along with the names of the Selkirk College Board members who will attend the graduation ceremonies to present the Entrance Awards.
