On March 15, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Shambhala Music & Performance Hall listen to Lindsay Elzinga (Pop, Folk/Country) & Marybeth Stenhouse Music (Pop).
Lindsay Elzinga is a young singer-songwriter born and raised on Vancouver Island, BC. Lindsay has been a musician almost all her life. She went from performing at small local venues to large festivals and events such as the BC Summer games. She had her song colours chosen to be the official summer games song in 2018. She is currently a Songwriting Major at Selkirk College, studying voice and guitar. In her graduation showcase, she will performing all original music. Lindsay’s music is written from an emotional and personal perspective, reflecting her country and folk influence, which she ties into her contemporary style. After graduation, she plans to pursue her passion through performing and songwriting.
Marybeth Stenhouse has been performing for ten years, and has achieved significant success in her hometown of Creston, B.C. Her love of music stems from a musically wealthy upbringing. Marybeth is currently a performance major in the Contemporary Music Program at Selkirk College. Marybeth performs for her audience because she loves seeing the way music inspires them. Her showcase displays a large variety of songs and artists that have affected her life. Marybeth hopes to use her knowledge to teach, and spread her love of music to all who will listen.
