Workshop, Film, Panel, Discussion - A Provincial Outreach Program for FASD
The number of students with complex learning needs seems to be growing all the time.
In this live webcast session being offered at Selkirk College, you will learn about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and how an approach to supporting students with this disorder can be utilized with all kids who have learning challenges.
By understanding our individual students, we can begin to work toward finding the strategies that will lead to improved success in the classroom.
We will provide you with information about current research, strategies and resources.
This workshop will be facilitated by Stacey Wakabayashi. He has spent the majority of his 27-year career teaching Grades Two to Six at an inn city elementary school in Prince George. He has also worked as a resource teacher for five years at both the elementary and secondary levels. Wakabayashi is currently the senior teacher consultant with Provincial Outreach Program for FASD and has been with the program since 2006.
