Far from being different realms of study, mathematics and art have always gone hand in hand, and now buy using modern computers we can unlock a new world of art.
In this talk we will discuss different areas where mathematics and art overlap with each other, including Islamic Geometric Art, Escher, N-dimensional objects and the world of fractal mathematics, where self-repetition is the game and we can generate patterns with infinite complexity. Raoul Kemper leads the discussion.
