Celebrate the End of Term!
Join us to celebrate the end of the school year on the highest of notes! Five instructor-led student ensembles from the Contemporary Music & Technology Program will take to the stage in the fabulous Spirit Bar (located in the historic Hume Hotel) for an unforgettable night of celebration and music!
- Doors open at 8 pm and the show will start at 8:30 pm.
- All proceeds will go toward Selkirk College music student scholarships.
Ensembles
The Selkirk Songwriters Ensemble offer up a fresh batch of originals. From pop to adult contemporary to indie-folk, these up-and-coming creatives are sure to surprise.
The ensemble features Mackenzie Tait (vox), Emily Millard (vox), Drew Storey (guitar/vox/bass), Renzo Amasifuen Jara (guitar/vox), Andrea Miller (keys), Erik Czechak (keys) and Maria Luisa Zuniga (drums).
The 2024 Selkirk College Pop Punk Ensemble is here with all the songs you sing when you think no one can hear you. From early 2000’s hits to modern day jams, they pack a loud punch of gnarly Pop Punk. Put in your ear plugs and prepare to be blown away!
The ensemble features Grace Woodcox (vocals), Carson Venne (vocals), Silas Boyden (guitar), Jayden Elnas (guitar), Kael Koteles (guitar), Rayne Theisen (keys) Lance Macbain (bass) and Cameron Low (drums).
Led Zeppelin Ensemble. Travel over the hills and far away to the sounds of the Led Zeppelin Ensemble: Houses of the Joely!
The ensemble features Anna Hendry (vocals), Finley Kinghorn (guitar), Ash Reed (guitar), Aaron Pasacreta (bass), Trevor McCarron (keyboards) and Joel Fountain (drums).
Ensemble XIII. Take a dive into the deep end of new wave. Immerse yourself in a pool of wavy and danceable new and old classics.
The ensemble features Ryder Reorda (guitar), Jay Porteous (guitar), Kadin Bergen (bass), Le Hoang Cao (drums), Dune Macdonald (vocals), Ben Warkentin (vocals) and Karissa Hanna (keys).
Latin Ensemble. Groove the night away with the Selkirk Latin Ensemble!
The ensemble features Renzo Amasifuen Jara (guitar), Dylan Watts (guitar), Elias Flores (bass), Luisa Zuniga (drums). Le Hoang Cao (percussion), Sofia Feregrino Barquin (vocals), Sapphire Guthrie (vocals), Melissa Lozada Gutierrez (keys) and Tony Houchens (vibes).
Tickets are $10 for the community and $5 for Selkirk College students.
