Courtney Rombough (she/her) is a registered clinical counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. She holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology from Adler University and an undergraduate degree in behavioral psychology from St. Lawrence College.

In her time as a clinical counsellor, she has had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. She believes that working toward wellness and self-understanding can be a challenging, confusing and overwhelming experience. Many of us don’t know where to start or how to begin making changes. Her aim is to provide you with a safe and non-judgemental space to discover what wellness means for you. Through a holistic, collaborative and science-based approach, she will help you develop skills to manage individual challenges, deepen personal insight, and strengthen inner compassion on your journey of healing and change. She will honour your brave decision to enter counselling and walk beside you with authenticity, respect and empathy.

Courtney offers counselling services based in trauma-informed and client-centred principles that encompass collaboratively exploring your counselling goals and working toward the change you want to see in your life. She is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities, and she specialize in helping people shift out of unhelpful patterns and meet their emotional needs.

Courtney is grateful to live, work and play on the traditional and unceded territory of the Sinixt, the Ktunaxa and the Secwépemc Peoples, and the home of the Métis and many diverse Indigenous persons. She actively works to decolonize her daily counselling practice, as well as consistently checking her personal privileges as she moves through this world.

When she is not on campus, she spends her personal time exploring the beautiful Kootenay landscape, reading all sorts of fiction, questing with DnD friends and enjoying the latest video game. She is grateful to live in this beautiful place with her partner and their cats.
