301 Frank Beinder Way, Castlegar BC, V1N 4L3, Canada
Danielle is a prairie girl who is passionate about social justice and reducing health inequities. Originally from Saskatoon, SK, where she received her undergraduate degrees in English and nursing, she moved to the Kootenays in 2012. She started in Kootenay Lake Hospital emergency and medical departments and after having one child, she transitioned over to community health in Nelson where she has worked since 2014. At that same time, she began working on her MPH through UVic and completed her studies in December 2017. She is thrilled to be part of the Selkirk College community as she embarks on a new career path and hopes to inspire her students to learn.
Aside from her career, Danielle is married and has two little girls. They live in Bonnington. They enjoy boating, hiking, and snowboarding together. Danielle also loves yoga, pilates, paddleboarding, and enjoying all four seasons in the mild Kootenay climate!
