I'm responsible for managing, organizing and revamping the cafeterias at Castlegar and Silver King, as well as managing and promoting the new residence at Tenth Street. I have an extensive background in the food service/hospitality industry and for the past three years have operated as an independent contractor managing a catering company and providing seniors in the West Kootenay with high quality, homemade, nutritious meals.
Prior to owning my own business, I worked as a Food Service Director, Manager and Executive Chef for seniors housing complexes and hotels. As well as having my Red Seal Chef Journeyman certification, I also have my Pastry Chef certification from Ecole de Gastronomie Escoffier, Ritz Hotel, in Paris, France. I am also a member of the Canadian Federation Chef de Cuisine and Canadian Society of Nutrition Managers.
