Selkirk College, Attn: Jim Greene
820 Tenth Street, Nelson BC, V1L 3C7, Canada
The opportunity to teach in the school of Hospitality and Tourism at the 10th Street Campus in Nelson presented itself during the Spring of 2015. Jim has felt for a long time that Selkirk College is an integral part of our West Kootenay community and he jumped at the chance to become involved with such a progressive organization.
A Strong Background in West Kootenay Tourism
Jim spent the past 25 years in the tourism industry and the past 16 years as General Manager and Vice President of Red Mountain Resort in Rossland. During that time, he was involved in many development projects to further the growth of Red including new chairlifts and expanded terrain, the renovation of the day lodge and the construction of the 67-unit Slalom Creek condominium project. Jim has also been actively involved in the Rossland community as President of the Chamber of Commerce and he currently sits on the Community Directed Funds Committee for the Lower Columbia Region for the Columbia Basin Trust.
