I am an Instructor, and Research Assistant for the Selkirk Geospatial Research Centre (SGRC). I came to Selkirk College to complete an Advanced Diploma in GIS after achieving a Diploma in Environmental Technology in Victoria, BC. After completion of the ADGIS program, I was hired as a Coop student at the SGRC and was fortunate enough to gain my current position. I completed my Bachelors of GIS in 2015. I enjoy working with the tight knit staff at the SGRC and the added benefit of being able to help students and staff with their GIS and technology challenges.
I love the natural world and am enamored by technology. The insatiable urge to know drives my daily life; the pursuit of knowledge is one of my life’s ultimate goals. Working at the SGRC, and with Selkirk College, I’m able to pursue this goal in the work I do—realizing my goals as modern spatial products and research that can be made available to the world at large. I enjoy educating others about my passions: GIS, technology, environmental issues, sustainability, politics and all overlaps.
