Kelvin’s professional career spanned 25 years with several global newspaper publishing companies as a Journeyman lithographic printing press operator and press crew supervisor. With his additional training in Servant Leadership, Emotional Intelligence Leadership and Crucial Confrontations training Kelvin was appointed Client & V.I.P. Company Liaison. For three successive years, from 2005 to 2008 Kelvin and his colleagues were awarded the prestigious Top Ten Print Crews in The World by WAN-IFRA, World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers for outstanding Lithographic print quality. After reaching the pinnacle of the printing world, he retired from the publishing industry in 2008.
Kelvin has more than 33 years of volunteer experience providing group facilitation, leadership, mentoring and supervision in the Family Services field. This included developing seminars, programs that deliver cohesive, audience appropriate targeted classroom instruction. In addition to providing psychotherapeutic counselling, mentoring and life skills training to marginalize and disenfranchised at-risk inner-city children, youth, young adults, seniors, including immigrants, refugees and their families, Kelvin is passionate about teaching restorative family systems and developing healthy marriages and family focused dynamics.
Kelvin and his wife have both embraced early retirement and are growing food, flowers, and friendships on a picturesque mountainside farm in the abundant beauty of rural Grand Forks.
