While that germinates, she continues writing more fiction novels. Kim also has a TESL Certificate through TRU in Kamloops, and in 2014, spent a year teaching English in Wuhan, China. During her year there, she entered a non-fiction writing contest, for which she won an excellence award and had her story published on the Wuhan travel website.
Kim is also a visual artist, focusing primarily on painting in acrylic and oil. She prefers variety in her subject matter, which ranges from landscapes and architecture, to wildlife and fantasy scenes. As well, she enjoys outdoor activities; during the winter months, Kim likes to downhill ski, and during the summer, pursues hiking and rock climbing. All the while, she is also learning French and the piano, while simultaneously working on sewing handbags out of artist's canvas, and hand painting them. Somewhere in between all of this, she squeezes in reading a good book.
