Leslie has 30 years of experience in working with youth, adults and families in group homes, programs and in community service and private practice settings. Her specialties include mental health and addiction work and group work.
She has a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Thompson Rivers University, a Masters of Social Work from Dalhousie University and an Instructors Diploma and On-line/eLearning Instructors Certificate from Vancouver City College.
Leslie is the Chair of the Selkirk Staff Wellness Committee; she sits on the Selkirk Research Ethics Committee, volunteers at Kootenay Family Place, and counsels women in their moms programs.
Leslie has a particular interest in the development of on-line curriculum and has been engaged in creating curriculum and on-line courses for her program areas.
Recently, Leslie was selected for a new role at Selkirk College as the Healthy Campus Advisor.
