Pete Golden is a Professional Engineer and sessional instructor in the IEP program. He spends his spare time working in Environmental Management and Remediation with Teck Resources in Trail B.C. Originally from Lethbridge, AB, he gained a passion for the mountains of the West Kootenays on a high-school ski trip. After graduating Mechanical Engineering at the U of C, he took a job in air pollution control and filtration at a consultant in Trail B.C. Interested in the questions of "what does pollution mean to the environment and human health" and wanting to make a positive, lasting difference in his community led him to re-train for a career in Environmental Engineering at Dalhousie University. Pete is thrilled to be teaching at Selkirk, enjoys the energy and enthusiasm of the students, and is excited to see them transition to making a positive impact on society and the environment in their communities.
