"One of the most impressive aspects of Selkirk College's Applied Environmental Science and Planning Technology Program is the diverse and rewarding array of professional employment opportunities that our graduates consistently find." —Peter Holton, Instructor, Applied Environmental Science and Planning Technology

Our Applied Environmental Science and Planning Technology Program has grads placed in a wide range of government, private and not-for-profit sector jobs in many different parts of the country.

I have been a member of Selkirk College’s faculty since 2001, teaching courses in Applied Environmental Science and Planning Technology and Recreation, Fish and Wildlife. I bring over 30 years of experience in natural resource management, and land use and environmental planning to Selkirk College.

I have worked in many rural, resort and mountain communities throughout North America. In addition to my work at Selkirk College, I am the principal of Holton Planning Associates, a Nelson BC-based consulting firm.
