Robin is a Selkirk College alumna that graduated from the 2-year Business Administration (Management) Diploma in 2006. Since then she has developed her financial administration skill set over ten years of experience in the field.
Fresh out of college, Robin managed a Canada Post outlet where she dealt with a large number of transactions daily as well as maintained inventory, balanced and recorded those sales and completed daily deposits.
She then got hired as an Accounts Receivable clerk for a busy construction building materials company. In that position, Robin demonstrated an aptitude for detail intensive numerical work. She was responsible for the collecting and balancing and posting all accounts receivable daily deposits as well as collections.
Later, she was contracted by the owner of a food truck for business implementation and planning which included menu development, inventory cost controls, marketing, bookkeeping, payroll as well as the daily operations of the business.
Robin was then contracted with the Board of Directors to assist the Executive Director in establishing an office headquarters. Together with the Executive Director, she implemented office procedural systems in liaison with the Board. They collaborated with regard to the allocation and maintenance of the internal budget. Also, Robin was responsible for the development of the publicizing of and production of an online grant application form with Adobe Acrobat.
As Financial Controller for a local restaurant and lounge, Robin maintained and was responsible for the financial operations of the store. In this position she was entrusted and empowered to make decisions of a consequential nature for the benefit of the company. Also, she assisted the Manager with human resource management duties.
In Robin's latest position, she was promoted from Accounting Clerk to Bookkeeper Assistant where she provided support in bookkeeping processes for a multi-national e-commerce company. There, Robin provided direct involvement in effectively producing timely and accurate financial statements for the company.
