Staying in residence is a good choice for students with good English language skills who have experience living independently.
Castlegar Campus Residence: Kekuli House
Kekuli House includes:
a private room with private outdoor access.
a bathroom shared with one other student.
private cooking facilities in your room.
access to a common full-sized kitchen and common living room with a TV and pool table.
Meals are not provided.
Students are expected to buy their own groceries and cook for themselves.
Students can purchase breakfast and lunch from the cafeteria when it is open.
Students must provide their own dishes and cooking utensils. They can be rented from Kekuli House for $25 / term or $50 / year.
Students must provide their own linens (sheets, towels, blankets), they can be rented for $50/ year.

Airport Pickup Services
There is an airport pickup and reception service available for students arriving at Castlegar Airport and living in Residence in Castlegar, Nelson or Off Campus Accommodation. If you are staying in Homestay, your family will pick you up.
This service costs $100 and includes:
1. airport pickup
2. help with grocery shopping
3. Setting up a bank account.

Nelson Campus Residence: Tenth Street
Recently renovated and reopened in 2011, it is located on Selkirk College’s Tenth Street Campus, and serves all Nelson campuses including the Kootenay School of the Arts (KSA) and Silverking Campus.
Tenth Street Residence includes:
a private room with a desk.
Access to a shared bathroom.
Access to cooking facilities.
Students can choose from different types of units:
Dorm unit: one bedroom with a desk, microwave and mini fridge; shared washroom, kitchen and living area.
3 bedroom pod: a bedroom with desk, shared kitchen and living area with 2 other students.
5 bedroom pod: a bedroom with desk, shared kitchen and living area with 4 other students.
