TESOL Advanced Diploma

With a growing global demand for qualified English language teachers, this TESL Canada recognized one semester intensive training program provides Canadian and international students with an overview of the fundamental elements of teaching English to speakers of other languages combined with hands on experience in the classroom.

The TESOL Advanced Diploma program facilitates student knowledge and understanding of second language teaching theory and methodology.  Skills and practical experience are developed through classroom and practicum assignments focused on teaching English, writing, reading, communications and grammar.  Guided observation and practice teaching within the Selkirk College English Language Program provide students with experience they can use around the world.  A TESOL Advanced Diploma from Selkirk College is awarded to successful graduates.
