Projects and Contract Services
Selkirk International has been actively involved in a number of international projects. For instance, over the past year Selkirk College has been actively involved in an exciting project funded by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to support the implementation of Professional Learning Centres in rural Georgia.
Other examples of the projects that have been undertaken include:
- Forestry and Applied Business Technology in Vietnam.
- Golf Club Management in Malaysia.
- Yasnaya Polyana. In 1998, in cooperation with Simon Fraser University, the Selkirk College Centre for Russian and North American Studies organized a cultural tour of Yasnaya Polyana, the Russian estate of Leo Tolstoy.
- Nursing International Project in Guatemala
- Golf Club Management International Internship with Scottsdale Community College, Arizona and Universidad Tecnologica de Cancun, Mexico
- Active Student Exchange with Instituto del Ambiente (IDMA), Santiago, Chile
- TESOL graduate placement at ITESM, Irapuato Campus, Mexico
