Homestay
Students who are interested in living with a Canadian family should apply for Homestay. Living with a family will help you make new friends, learn about Canadian culture, and improve your English.
Your homestay family will provide you with three meals a day, a private room, and a warm welcome. You will also be included in family activities. Homestay is the ideal way to practice your English daily.

You can view, download and print an application form using any program that reads PDF files. Complete the form and return it to Selkirk College with three pictures,a short letter of introduction for your homestay family, and the $100 processing fee.
Our Families
Our International Student Coordinator carefully selects families who are kind and friendly, and who enjoy meeting students from other parts of the world. Your homestay family will help you to become comfortable in your new community.
Our Students
We try to match our students and our homestay families as closely as we can. It is important for you to give us as much information as you can about yourself and about the kind of homestay experience you hope to have in Canada.
We offer single placements (one student in a home), and double placements (two students in a home).
In double placements, we select two students from different countries. Each student would have his/her own room.
Our International Student Coordinator checks homestay placements regularly. We provide assistance and support if needed, and recommend homestay for new students.
