Recreation

Studying at Selkirk College opens the door to a beautiful natural environment. The setting is home to wildlife, including deer, eagles, mountain sheep, and smaller animals. The comfortable four-season climate brings many opportunities for outdoor recreation and to practice English while you have fun.

Adventure

Selkirk College's location allows you to explore western Canada from the Pacific Ocean to the Rocky Mountains. Some outdoor activities that students enjoy are: 

  • skiing and snowboarding
  • camping and canoeing
  • horseback riding
  • golf and tennis
  • visit various hot springs

 Activities

We encourage our students to participate in college and community activities. You can join a club, play on a sports team, or volunteer with community groups. Our Canadian cultural assistants will help you practice your English.
