Anne Macdonald, one of Nelson’s fine piano teachers, presents Selkirk College Donor Development Coordinator Pat Henman with a cheque for $500 to purchase a seat in support of the “Count Me In” fundraising campaign. Macdonald’s students, ages 7 to 18, raised $500 through pledges and donations collected at their final recitals and a music sight-read-a-thon. The seat will have an engraved plaque that says “Piano students of Anne Macdonald 2010-11”. All funds raised through the campaign will be used to purchase new seats, lights and sound equipment for the theatre formerly known as Studio 80. Fifty-three of the 108 seats available have been sold. For information on the campaign or to donate, visit the web page.
