Awarded to a first year Associate of Arts or Science student returning to Selkirk College for second year. Preference to a student who is a family member of a Rotarian &/or who has participated in Interact, Rotaract, or as a Rotary exchange student. The recipient will have demonstrated “Service Above Self” as a volunteer in their community and may be expected to participate with the Rotary Club.
This award is presented to students in Associate of Arts and Associate of Sciences, University Transfer program. Please note that students enrolled in Commerce, Physical Education, Recreation Education and Nursing are not eligible.
This award is presented to a student from the Castlegar Campus, in any program, contributing to student spirit and making a positive contribution to the life at Selkirk College, with a GPA of 3.0 as a minimum.
This award is presented to a student selected by Stanley Humphries Secondary School. The selection criteria is maintained by SHSS. The recipient will be a graduate of Stanely Humphries, with a high English grade, now attending Selkirk College.
This award is presented to a student who has completed one full year or more in Associate of Science or Engineering. The recipient will be a continuing student at Selkirk College or the University of British Columbia.
This award is presented to a full-time student showing extraordinary promise in English, with a particular emphasis on creative writing. Evaluation is based on the following criteria: 1) Originality in theme, style, and content. 2) Handling of the genre(s) in which the student is writing. 3) Proven ability in English. The competition is open to all English and Creative Writing students and will be adjudicated by the English Department.
An instructor is especially pleased when a student suddenly improves, advances, and discovers hidden talent. This award is designed specifically for the average student who suddenly excels. Each English teacher may submit as many applicants as deemed deserving. Each award winner is drawn at random.
This award is presented to a second-year Associates of Art/Science Student completing second year English courses and continuing on as an English Major. The award may be presented to a first year student if no second year student qualifies.

This award is presented to a second year Associate of Arts or Science based on academic performance and financial need; graduating from a West Kootenay District high school (Trail, Castlegar, Salmo, South Slocan, Nakusp or New Denver) who intends to continue.
This scholarship is awarded to a student who has completed their first year in the Associate of Arts In Peace and Justice Studies or Liberal Arts Diploma in Peace and Justice Studies programs and is returning for the second year in this program area.
To a first or second year Associate of Arts or Science or Renewable Resources student pursuing a career in Engineering/Earth Science and continuing studies in that field. First preference would be to a student who has graduated from JL Crowe or Rossland Secondary.
