Paul Landsberg
Paul Landsberg is a contemporary performing guitarist, recording artist, composer, and music educator.
In his 30 years as a music educator he has taught at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and given numerous workshops in ear training, guitar, and improvisation throughout North America. He then went on to co-found and design the Selkirk College Contemporary Music and Technology Program in Nelson BC, where he currently teaches.
Paul has just released four ear training books and eight CD's titled, "Hear It, Sing It," on Music House Publishing.
As a contemporary guitarist he has traveled throughout North America and Europe with his own quartet, as well as performing with a variety of jazz and contemporary artists including: Robben Ford, Ben E. King, Ernie Watts, Mike Stern, Kenny Wheeler, Dan Brubeck, Charlie Haden, Bob Mintzer, Wayne Krantz, Dave Weckl, Lew Tabackin, Gunther Schuller, the Platters, the Drifters, the Spokane Jazz Orchestra, and the Paul Landsberg Quartet.
As well as appearing on numerous CD's, Paul has just released his third CD by the Paul Landsberg Quartet titled, "Search and Rescue."
He holds a Master's Debree from the California Institute of the Arts, and a Bachelor's from the Berklee College of Music. Although originally from Bronx, New York, Paul currently makes his home in Nelson, BC with his wife and six daughters.
Paul teaches Guitar, Labs, Ensembles, Ear Training, and Improvisation.
