Online Golf Management Courses
Golf in Canada and the U.S. is a $50 billion industry that employs millions of people in golf-related jobs, including more than 100,000 managers ($11.3 billion industry and 342,000 jobs in Canada alone).
The golf industry is experiencing rapid growth and will continue to do so into the foreseeable future, a trend which will add significantly to the current number of about 22,000 clubs in North America (30,000 globally). In addition, many existing golf club managers face imminent retirement, so new, well trained managers with post secondary golf management credentials are in high demand.
That's where Selkirk College comes in as one of North America's pre-eminent publicly accredited golf management colleges. Since its inception in 1989, our Golf Club Management and Operations Program has been recognized as a college golf program leader for training individuals wanting to advance and/or pursue golf management career tracks. There are many hundreds of Selkirk graduates in senior golf management positions in Canada, the U.S., England, China, Malaysia and Africa. In the coming decades, it's estimated that 80% of high-paying jobs will require a college diploma or university degree, so preparation now can immeasurably boost golf industry career potential.
Selkirk College can help you plan and achieve that golf management career path faster and more cost effectively thanks to innovations in our golf management program.
Selkirk College has revitalized the golf management program into a new, flexible online delivery format that appeals to students from all over the world: Golf Club Operations Online (GCOOL). No longer do students need to relocate to a campus to acquire needed golf management knowledge and skills. Our new online golf management delivery model enables working golf managers and people aspiring to management positions to continue living at home (no need to relocate) and to "earn as they learn" – these are enormous financial benefits.
Students can enroll for single courses or work, over time, toward the comprehensive 10-course certificate. GCOOL offerings can lead to credentials ranging from certificates, post-diploma certifications, and even a full diploma. See course testimonials from students, evidence of the usefullness and ease of the online golf management learning approach.
