Kootenay School of the Arts at Selkirk College (KSA) in Nelson, BC, is dedicated to graduating students who will be able to make a living through their art and craft studio practice in Jewelry and Small Object Design, Clay, Fibre or Metal.
Our curriculum emphasizes studio skills, creativity and business practices and our faculty is made up of individuals who are practicing artists and craftspeople. Field trips, visiting instructors and opportunities to exhibit and sell work add to your student experience.

Admission to Kootenay School of the Arts is based on an interview and a portfolio review. Make sure you pay special attention to the portfolio guidelines when preparing your materials.
Additionally, you must meet the general admission requirements for the college and either apply online through the Post-Secondary Application Service of British Columbia (PASBC) or by mail.

New and returning students are required to attend Student Orientation at Kootenay School of the Arts at 9:00 am on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at the KSA campus (606 Victoria Street, Nelson).
