Kootenay School of the Arts
Situated in Nelson, a city with a vibrant and inspiring arts community, Kootenay School of the Arts is dedicated to graduating students who can make a living through their professions in art, craft and design. In support of this goal, our curriculum emphasizes studio work and our faculty is made up of individuals who are, first and foremost, practicing artists and craftspeople.
Admission to KSA is based on interview and portfolio review. Applicants should give special attention to the portfolio guidelines when preparing their materials.
In addition to diploma and certificate programs, KSA also offers a wide variety of evening, weekend, courses that are open to the community. Check out these Continuing Education courses, Arts & Culture and call to register 250-352-2821.
Summer School Workshops for all ages watch for the Summer 2010 line up. Workshops in Clay, Weaving, Jewellery, Blacksmithing, and Visual Arts. Youth programming for ages 8-18; includes Digital Film Camp, Little Potter, Beading, Family Forge, and much more. Discounts available when you register for two or more courses as a family.
