Bio
Tim Thurston specializes in parks and protected area management and planning. Tim’s work has ranged from monitoring backcountry visitor impacts in the Rocky Mountains, to plant ecology in the High Arctic, and from working as a Park Ranger for BC Parks to developing protected area plans and building trails, foot bridges and cable-car crossings as an independent consultant. Tim has taught at Selkirk College since 1998.When not at work, Tim can be found out paddling, climbing or skiing in B.C.’s backcountry.
