What is the ACE IT program and how is it different from Transitions?

ACE IT stands for Accelerated Credit Enrolment in Industry Training and is a term used by the BC government's Industry Training Authority (ITA). The ITA is responsible for managing BC's industry training system and developed the ACE IT program to allow high school students to participate in apprenticeship programs. ACE IT programs are offered collaboratively between a high school and a post-secondary institution, with funding provided by the ITA for each participating student. In the case of Selkirk College, ACE IT programs are offered within the Transitions Program. In other words, if you are participating in an ACE IT program in the West Kootenay/Boundary region, then you are also a Transitions Program student with Selkirk College.
