School District No. 8 Kootenay Lake

The Kootenay Lake School District includes the communities of Yahk, Kitchener, Wynndel, Canyon, Boswell, Crawford Bay, Kootenay Bay, Riondel, and Creston on the east side of Kootenay Lake, and Kaslo, Meadow Creek, Johnson's Landing, Argenta, Ainsworth, Slocan, Winlaw, South Slocan, Crescent Valley, Slocan Park, Taghum, Blewett, Ymir, Balfour, Salmo, and Nelson, on the west side of Kootenay Lake.

School District No. 10 Arrow Lakes

The Arrow Lakes School District encompasses a large area from Wauchope Creek in the Monashee Mountain Range north to Trout Lake, and south east to Silverton. This district is dispersed and rural, with 60% of the student body bussed to school.

School District No. 20 Kootenay-Columbia

The Kootenay-Columbia School District is located in the valley of the Lower Columbia River Basin in southwestern B.C. This district serves six municipalities and numerous small communities.

School District No. 51 Boundary

The Boundary School District serves the communities of Christina Lake, Grand Forks, Greenwood, Midway, Rock Creek, Bridesville, Westbridge, Beaverdell, Big White and the surrounding rural areas.

Public Institutions

Community skill centres, as well as local and provincial government agencies, play an important role in the success of the program.
