College Preparatory Courses

If you need to earn a pre-requisite for the course or program you plan to enrol in, then you can take a university prep course which is identified as any course with a less than 100 designation. In other words, English 051 is a college prep course, whereas English 110 is first-year English and English 200 is a second-year course.

The School of University Arts and Sciences offers college prep courses in Biology, Chemistry, English, Math, and Physics. The School of Developmental Education also offers courses in Adult Basic Education.

Courses should be chosen only after consultation with a Selkirk College counsellor.
