Writing Programs at Selkirk College
Selkirk College writing programs emphasize portfolio development and professional practices for writers in any discipline.
Students interested in earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English can choose the Associate of Arts Degree in English (Writing Studies). This program fulfills the course requirements to enter the third year of university major or honours programs in English, with an added focus on the process and practice of writing.
The Studies in Writing program offers two years (60 credits) of diverse university transferable liberal arts and sciences enriched with writing: writing for the workplace, communications and freelance writing, and imaginative writing in fiction, poetry, non-fiction or drama.
