Economics
Economics is a ‘social science’ that deals with how we produce, trade and distribute goods and services in an economy. It is the study of how limited resources are used in an economy or society.
Economics is a required or optional course for several programs at Selkirk College, including several Associate of Arts degrees, Business Administration, Integrated Environmental Planning and Peace Studies. Second year courses explore more advanced and specific topics in economics and both first and second year courses can be used towards university degrees in economics, commerce, business administration and many other disciplines which require economics as a core subject.
Major in Economics?
Selkirk College does not offer a full major in economics, however all courses can be used towards university degrees in economics, commerce, business administration and many other disciplines which require economics as a core subject.
