Nonviolent Conflict Intervention

The Nonviolent Conflict Intervention Workshop lets you explore how nonviolent methods can lessen or prevent violence – in your life, in your community, and around the world. Join us for a one-day workshop filled with hands-on exercises and role plays that will introduce you to useful conflict resolution skills.

Mediation Training Program

In this five-day workshop, participants will learn skills and techniques to mediate disputes quickly and effectively. Using a peer community mediation model, participants will learn how to help people find solutions to their immediate problems and resolve conflicts in the future.

Safe Schools and Communities: Restoring the Relational Base of Health and Well Being

Dr. Brenda Morrison is an internationally renowned expert on restorative justice – in schools, communities and the criminal justice system. Through the lens of restorative justice this workshop will build a framework and set of practical tools for re-affirming, repairing and re-building the social fabric that underpins safe schools and communities.

Summer Institute: Restorative Justice and Education

This week-long, fully accredited UBC course (EDCP 496) will deepen your understanding of restorative justice and how its theory and practice relates to education and socialization of our children.  This course will provide a framework for not only responding to conflict but also to building cultures of peace in our education system.
