About the Institute
A concept paper on a Selkirk College Teaching and Learning Institute (TLI) was broadly circulated to employees and met with acceptance in 2010. Shortly after, the B.C. Government Employee’s Union (BCGEU), Selkirk College Faculty Association (SCFA) and the college administration financially supported a two-year pilot. A coordinator was hired in January 2011, on a part-time basis, to coordinate the Institute until 2013.
