STUDENT INFORMATION
What grade do I have to be in, to come to Experience Selkirk Day?
You have to be in grade 10, 11 or 12 to be eligible for Experience Selkirk Day. The majority of students who attend are in grade 10.
Do we have to pay for this event?
No, you do not have to pay for this event.
Do we have to bring our own lunch?
No, lunch will be provided by Selkirk College. We will be featuring “Gourmet College Cuisine” that includes bar-b-que hamburgers / veggie burgers & hotdogs / tofu dogs, veggies & dip, juice and ice cream.
COURSES
What kind of courses can I take?
Course selections may include topics such as Choosing Peace, Flight Training, How to Flambe, Hairdressing, Touching Magical Clay, and much more!
Am I guaranteed to “get” the courses I pick?
We will do our best to get you into your first choices, as far as course selections are concerned. However, if a course is full, we may need to put you in your 2nd choice.
TRANSPORTATION
Who is responsible for transportation?
Each school is responsible for getting their students to the relevant campus, and for picking them up at the end of the day. If your school is not attending you must make your own travel arrangements.
What will happen when we arrive at the campuses?
When you arrive in the morning, there will be a greeting table set up. At that point, you will receive a name tag with your course selections on it. You will be encouraged to put your name in for draws and prizes, and will be provided with a morning snack.
THE DRAWS
What can I win, when I enter the draw?
This year, we are drawing for two tuition vouchers and a whole lot more!!! Prizes are won for just showing up and putting your name in the entry box.
