Residence renovation at Tenth Street campus
On November 9, 2009, the college received $7 million dollars for the renovation, reconfiguration and greening of the residences. These funds were made possible through the federal and provincial governments with support from Columbia Basin Trust and the City of Nelson.
The New Tenth Street Residence
When the renovation is completed and the residence is reopened it will feature space for approximately 100 residents in accommodations (see floor plans) that range from single rooms with central amenities to three and five bedroom ‘pods’ complete with kitchen, bathrooms and a living room/dining room area.
A very exciting feature of these renewed facilities is the fact that the construction will be done to LEED Gold standards.
