Each day at Selkirk College was a new day! Each day was a different day that brought new challenges that also came with new successes.
In 2005 I graduated from Integrated Environmental Planning Technology with a BSc from the University of Alberta in December, in 2007. In recognition my application for a National Science and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) grant to support Master’s degree was approved. NSERC is Canada’s leading
funding agency for advanced scientific and engineering research.
I’m still unsure of my research plans. I hadn’t made any decisions until I was sure of NSERC funding. I may look at reclamation of arctic gravel pits, peatland reclamation in the boreal, Rocky Mountain National Park restoration, or urban restoration in Manitoba. I’ve worked hard over the past four years receiving an NSERC grant is truly rewarding.
