Pick up a free Gratitude Jar!

We want to encourage a new habit of thankfulness that will have positive effects on your well-being!
Instructions
Step 1: Find a jar or box.
Step 2: Decorate the jar or box however you wish. You can wrap hemp string around it, with a "Gratitude Jar" label, put stickers on it, or add your favourite photos to the outside! Paint it or use clear glue and glitter to make it sparkle! Do whatever makes it feel special for you.
Step 3: The most important step! Think of one thing each day you are grateful for! Here are some ideas to help you:
- Think of something about your body or health you're grateful for.
- What's something that you're looking forward to?
- What's an accomplishment you're proud of?
- Write or meditate about some place you've been grateful for.
- What have you been given that you're greatful for?
Do this every day! Write down the things you are grateful for on card stock and fill your special jar!
Step 4: Email a picture of your jar to recreation@selkirk.ca or to nelsonrec@selkirk.ca to show us your work, and we will post a collage of all the jars submitted on Facebook and Instagram!
Soon you will have created a new habit of thankfulness and you will feel the positive effects on your over all well-being!!
