Katie Keeling: Singer-songwriter Katie Keeling will present her graduation showcase on March 22nd. Her lyrically driven alt-rock songs are drawn from influences such as Stevie Nicks, Susan Tedeschi, Aretha Franklin, and The Black Keys. Katie's clever lyrics take you on a journey as she explores her love for folk, rock, and rhythm and blues. Her songs tell stories of experience with love, loss, and self-discovery. She is fascinated by the effect music has on emotions, and makes sure to put her soul into all of her compositions. Tune in, and you may also get a sneak peek of Katie's newly embarked journey as a film composer.
Aden Goertzen: The stupendously, amazingly, legendarily, epic composition major, Aden “Non Quan” Goertzen will be presenting his showcase on Monday, March 22nd. Aden is a drummer/pianist/singer who draws from a multitude of genres. He is most greatly influenced by jazz fusion, but truly enjoys writing in styles as diverse as metal and folk. When Aden writes lyrics he can deal with serious topics, but often just tries to be as funny as possible. Aden is a real artist’s artist who likes to go with the flow. As such, Aden doesn’t even know yet what songs you will be listening to, but he does know two things for sure… One, no song will sound like the last. Two, you will be mind blown. Three, Aden is bad at maths.
